Description of Service (DOS) Codes
There are several ways to use this search tool to find a DOS code:
- Enter a type of service in the Description field, click Search
- Use the drop-down menu to choose a Pay Category, click Search
- Click on an Employee type, click Search
- If you know the DOS code or know the first letter of the code, click on the alpha character
- Look at the entire list by clicking on List all codes
This page does not contain a complete list of DOS codes, only those most often entered in PPS by departments.
NOTE: When pre-approval is required, identify who approved the use of the DOS code in the PAN notice comments.
